Eww, who rapped about Trump in any kind of positive manner?
Mac Miller, although there's context there that I don't have the energy to go into.
Thanks for at least mentioning that there was in fact context to it.
I can't enjoy that song anymore the way I used to but I don't think Mac Miller should be held accountable for what Trump turned into. That song came out in 2011, Mac can't be blamed for that. At that time Trump was just "a rich guy" and most people didn't know much about him, he was just a recognizable name to rap about that was synonymous with money. Same as comparing yourself to Bill Gates or Mansa Musa.
Though I hear these days that Trump himself absolutely hates the song, I'm guessing for no other reason than because it's rap music considering the song itself portrays him in a pretty generally good light, so I'll still pull it out now and then for a listen for no other reason than because I know it would upset Trump that people like this song.
I have a little more energy now. Originally Trump loved it because it praised him. Then, Miller and Trump got into it before Trump threw his hat into the political ring because Trump was claiming he deserved royalties for use of his name. Then they played it at rallies and Miller said Trump was "an egomaniacal, attention-thirsty, psychopathic, power-hungry, delusional waste of skin and bones" during an interview.
Trump went back and forth between loving and hating it depending on how he felt on any particular day. I doubt he remembers it now.
Oh, I didn't realize his white ass counted. Garbage music, sorry
Mac Miller RIP
