MODERATORS

Ultra-wealthy Republican donors are rallying behind former US President Donald Trump following his historic trial and criminal conviction.

Trump, the Republican candidate for this November's White House election, was found guilty of falsifying business records to conceal hush money paid to former adult-film star Stormy Daniels.

While he has lagged behind Joe Biden and the Democrats' fundraising efforts, the conviction injected new life into his electoral bid - with his campaign announcing that it raised nearly $53m (£41.6m) in just 24 hours after the verdict.

Maybe this is just my personal opinion, but I think they should lock the felon and all his supporters up.

Edit: And tax them all.

This is the compromise position.

I understand your point but fairness is very important to ensure people don't lose faith in the justice system. If any one of us was a 34 times convicted felon who repeatedly violated gag orders to blast the judge and the judges family then encouraged people to riot, we would all be walking free and could run for president.

I do have other opinions which I don't tend to share online. Back in the 1800s, they had certain other laws as how they would treat traitors..

Still do. To my knowledge they were never removed...
