So I had a terrific first RP session today, and I read the warning about how it's all stored locally and may be lost if I clear my cache. No worries, there's an export option to export the entire scenario or just the character data or just the chats. I exported first the whole enchilada and then just the current chat thread and gunzipped the json data... and here my troubles begin.

All I want is a basic transcript:

AI blah blah blah

Me yadda yadda yadda

... etc. What I get is this 700KB file with a structure that's way over my head (I'm strictly SQL, and I can manage maybe 2 or 3 levels of JSON).

I found where each comment and response is marked with a "message" node, e.g. "message":"yadda yadda yadda" but there's no indication which of us (AI or me) said it.

So I figured, I'll just click-and-drag down the browser window to select all the chat history and paste it into a Libre Office doc or something.

No dice; it omits the character names like they don't exist and just gives me the conversation text itself.

I can't be the only person who wants to save a chat transcript, but I feel extremely stupid right now! What obvious command/UI element am I missing?

White dwarfs are dead stars like our Sun. Although they're no longer performing fusion in their cores, they're still hot and putting out radiation that could support life. A new paper calculates that a white dwarf could support planets in a new habitable zone for 7 billion years, providing the right temperature and radiation to support a biosphere. They're also small and dim, which makes it easier to study planets in orbit around them for potential biosignatures.

The Federal Trade Commission said it has reached a proposed settlement with Evolv Technologies due to allegations that the company "made false claims about the extent to which its AI-powered security screening system can detect weapons and ignore harmless personal items."

The company claims that its technology can screen for weapons in a noninvasive way. But federal officials say its claims are "misleading."

Evolv Technologies provides weapon detectors for over 1,000 schools, in addition to sports venues, hospitals, and casinos. The company says that its detectors are used to screen over 700,000 children and school visitors throughout the U.S. daily for weapons.

In downtown Seattle, total office vacancy is now around 35%, according to commercial real estate firm CBRE, and rents are softening. That’s even worse than during the Great Recession, when downtown Seattle office vacancy reached around 21%.

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — After a ballot recount, a top Romanian court on Monday validated the first round of a presidential race in which a far-right outsider emerged as the frontrunner, plunging the country into turmoil amid allegations of electoral violations and Russian meddling.

The Constitutional Court’s unanimous decision came after it had asked the Central Election Bureau to recount and verify all 9.4 million ballots cast in the first round of the presidential election on Nov. 24. The election bureau approved the request and proceeded with the recount.

Monday’s decision is final.

Calin Georgescu, a little-known far-right populist and independent candidate, narrowly won the first round, beating the incumbent prime minister Marcel Ciolacu. Georgescu will face reformist Elena Lasconi, the leader of the Save Romania Union party, in a runoff on Sunday.

Lasconi beat Ciolacu by just 2,740 votes.

Has this person even considered the incredibly dangerous precedent being set where BOTH sides of the two party system have constituents that actively encourage them to abandon the rule of law?

What could go wrong?

Those damned leopards were so cute that I walked up to them and pet them.......but they ate my face!

Don't come crying to me when the leopards actually eat your face, smug lib.

This one video (and the pervasive tendency of Centrists to engage in echo chamber building using "official block lists" on world and BlueSky) has inspired me to start this community.

*Maybe he's joking and I am not in on the joke? *
