I’m most of the way through season 1 of Castle. It’s pretty entertaining so far, and not just because I’ve liked Nathan Fillion ever since I watched Firefly.

I’ve watched a lot more Holiday Baking Championship this year than I have college football. So when I was at lunch earlier, and they had the peach bowl on, it took me a second to remember that he does cfb too.

If you marry a barracks rat, don’t be surprised if she hooks up with Jody while you’re downrange.

  • Punch my ADHD in the dick and steal its horse
  • Shit on Deborah’s desk
  • Force George RR Martin to finish & publish the Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring this year, then he can go party with an eight ball of heroin and hookers
  • Grow pot on the national mall
  • Use a giant stick to play a game of tic tac toe on the moon that’s visible from the earth

I once had an office job at a teapot factory with locations in pacific, central, and eastern time zones. I was personally in one of the central time locations. You’re right - it absolutely was a happy medium.

I haven’t read an actual book in ages. If reading fanfiction counts, the most recent one I’ve read is “Shrouded Destiny” by GladiusX, set in the universe of A Song of Ice and Fire.

It’s currently updating, and has been updating once per week for over a year. The narrative has nearly reached its conclusion.

I don’t necessarily agree with all the plot choices the author has made, but it is overall very well written, with far more realistic consequences and less plot armor compared to canon.

By context I’m guessing “new” means “team that missed playoffs last year & made it this year”

When I was in the military I spent a decent chunk of time stationed in pacific time zone. One upside was not having to stay up nearly as late to watch sports games to their conclusion.

I loved my parents when they still lived, and will love their memory until my last day. But I was glad to live a few hours away by car.
