I wouldn't mind some of the Random Acts to come over and be more active. Even though I never used it, I always thought the idea of the Random Acts of Pizza was a grand idea for those who are in need.

I was working on a e-commerce site for a large furniture manufacturer. They wanted to add a new attribute to a site that dealt with the fabrics they used. This would have been somewhere near 500 individual products with their own value for this attribute. We had to get this lined up on the product csv because somebody didn't think to do it in the erp. One of my managers was set to go in and use Excel to merge the lists, but I realized he would have to do this every month until the end of time. I wrote a quick script on the site to do this anytime the product csv needed to be updated. Write once, run forever.

I don't have a problem with competitive sports and such, but I do wish that it wasn't such a large part of our collective culture. I don't follow sports, and especially American Football. I have blue hair and last year nearly everyone was asking if I did it for the Detroit Lions. People who knew I had it for two years previous were asking me. Strangers in the store. I see ads for sports adjacent things when I don't go to the websites like that or watch the games. Tired of seeing it everywhere.

Thank you. I only just saw the comment and am rather glad you got to it first.

Apologies for the FB post, but that's where I'm finding it.

I visit many of the game shops in my area to try to find TTRPG's and players, but all I find is Magic players and they will talk about the game in length.

You are right that I shouldn't blame the format. I will blame Wizards for pushing it so hard it's pretty much the only way to play the game right now.

I get what you are saying about what I said with Standard. It is that Wizards focuses too much on Commander, and some of these tie-in could have awesome CCG on their own, like Fallout. I think Fallout could stand to have an awesome CCG that would sell pretty amazingly. Regarding Standard, yes the format still exists, but the way sets are released it feels like it's only there for the old players like me.

I haven't played since before Wizards started pushing Commander, at that time called EDH. I felt the Standard Format was a perfect setup to keep the game fresh and innovative while still making money, and the Legacy Format was perfect for the people who had cards that are no longer in Standard. I think the Commander Format killed a perfect system, and Wizards/Hasbro are just trying everything to make money and keep the game mostly unplayable with the licensed tie-ins.

My big question is that if a whole flock is killed when bird flu is discovered, why are JUST egg prices going up? My local grocery store recently had a sale on chicken but the eggs are in short supply and cost nearly 10 times what they used to a few months ago? Shouldn't chicken meat be expensive too? Or do I not know anything about poultry farming and bird flu?

One of my favorites.

First time making a pot roast, even after the cat knocked over and shattered the wine bottle overnight. Wife reminded me that we had a bottle in the pantry.

The link to the PDF is in the playtest link, as well as a link to a feedback survey.

I have five.

Mine is that the Disney+ shows should not have any impact on the movies, that they should just be on their own.

Mine is that Discovery should have been a series taking place in the Picard era.

Mine is they shouldn't have made the sequel series without George as a consultant.

Actually, I watched two episodes. Once I got past the cut-corners animation, bad character development, the writing and dialog was just the worst ever. I thought I would watch through all the episodes and then pass judgement, but I barely made it through the second episode when the thing hatched out of it's cocoon, can barely speak, doesn't know anything, and everyone is asking, "Are you an Ancient?" And in the middle of a fire-fight too. I had to turn it off at that point. I can't believe I watched it.

I have this argument with my wife often. I like to cook, and for me cooking is more than taking frozen meatballs and dumping them into a pan full of jar pasta sauce. I would rather make the sauce, maybe have some meatballs made in advance. My wife seems to think that pre-made stuff or mixes are the way to go. I would rather just make pancakes scratch, which isn't hard, where she would rather I just open the mix, add water, and make the food. But I do agree that having a frozen lasagna is better than taking the full effort when I just want to get dinner going. So where are your eat the pre-made vs make it from scratch?
