It would need to be us that needs to evolve away from being sensitive to mosquito saliva. But our immune system went the other way to be allergic to it so we could defend against any infection or disease the bug might carry. Further proof of human stupidity in our evolution, that we trigger the defense mechanism after the the attack instead of preventing it.

Same with electoral votes in a two party system. Now if we could expand into a four or five party with those parties getting the same level of importance, it could improve the quality of candidates by giving us more choices.

Meatloaf is ground beef, and if your smart, pork sausage mixed with some extra seasoning and stuff, shoved in a loaf pan, and baked until fully cooked through. There are different things you can put on top as it's being baked, my personal preference is bbq sauce. My wife likes a can of cream of mushroom soup.

One of the best things ever is a proper meatloaf. Something even better is the next day using the leftovers in a sandwich.

I do not recommend this for a beginner, but intermediate skill should have no problem. And if you don't have time, save this for the weekend.

But with the cat, I had a bottle of Cabernet Merlot on the shelf, but too close to the edge. Some point in the early morning the bottle found itself on the floor missing it's bottom. I figured one of my cats checked it out and knocked it off.

I didn't use any special ingredients. Sear a chuck roast, cook the onions and garlic, deglaze with half a bottle of red and then reduce around half. Add a few cups of beef stock with fresh rosemary and thyme. I would have added fresh tarragon, but I only had dry. I also used some celery leaf. Meat back in the pot, oven preheat to 325f for two and a half hours. Add carrots and celery and continue for another hour. Once our, I pulled the meat to a serving dish and added a thickener to the sauce. Once thickened, pour back over the meat and enjoy.

It was super tender and delicious. I don't have much in the way of poetry for you, but damn it was tasty.

First time making a pot roast, even after the cat knocked over and shattered the wine bottle overnight. Wife reminded me that we had a bottle in the pantry.

I have my primary daily driver laptop running Arch for web programming and writing, my side laptop running arch for monitoring services and writing, my server computer running (again) arch that I use for web dev and jellyfin streaming, and my work laptop running Ubuntu for server management. Not to mention my chromebook for paper weight, and my wife's laptop on Win10 she uses for design stuff. Nobody running games outside of my xBox One.

The link to the PDF is in the playtest link, as well as a link to a feedback survey.

I have five.

Mine is that the Disney+ shows should not have any impact on the movies, that they should just be on their own.

Mine is that Discovery should have been a series taking place in the Picard era.

Mine is they shouldn't have made the sequel series without George as a consultant.

Actually, I watched two episodes. Once I got past the cut-corners animation, bad character development, the writing and dialog was just the worst ever. I thought I would watch through all the episodes and then pass judgement, but I barely made it through the second episode when the thing hatched out of it's cocoon, can barely speak, doesn't know anything, and everyone is asking, "Are you an Ancient?" And in the middle of a fire-fight too. I had to turn it off at that point. I can't believe I watched it.

I have this argument with my wife often. I like to cook, and for me cooking is more than taking frozen meatballs and dumping them into a pan full of jar pasta sauce. I would rather make the sauce, maybe have some meatballs made in advance. My wife seems to think that pre-made stuff or mixes are the way to go. I would rather just make pancakes scratch, which isn't hard, where she would rather I just open the mix, add water, and make the food. But I do agree that having a frozen lasagna is better than taking the full effort when I just want to get dinner going. So where are your eat the pre-made vs make it from scratch?

I've been working on this on and off, could use some other eyes to help expand features, maybe some pull requests. Let me know what you think. I just uploaded version 0.0.12 and I am going to start working on 0.0.13. The CMS is built in a bundle, so that's where most of the features are. What I have linked here is the skeleton app, but installation is still beefy. Thanks everyone!

Edit: Forgot the link to the bundle https://github.com/SeleneSoftware/seleneCMSBundle
