Slow car fast rather than a fast car slow, its the way to have a good time

[–] Usernameblankface 1 points 11 hours ago

Yeah, it has a small market, but people who want one REALLY want one. So I expect that if they can ever get production figured out they'll sell as fast as they can be made for a short time, then they'd better move on to a new design if they want to stay around. Or, sell some of the solutions they built to other manufacturers. I think i've seen them selling their lightweight, flexible solar panels to another manufacturer.

Depends on the what I'd use it for

Commuting, an Aptera with a little red flag plus a tiny yellow blinker on a tall pole.

Fun drives, a Caterham 7

Local people hauling, VW Buzz

Road trip without a budget, Rolls Royce Phantom, with a hired driver.

Road trip with a group, a 6 door limo of a 2010 or so Cadillac with bench seats facing each other in the back.

Towing, a remanufactured Squarebody Chevy pickup body on a custom frame with an Edison Motors retrofit kit.

You'll have to get the "must do" category contained. Define it, trim off anything not strictly a must.

Then, sort through the "should do." How much of it actually should be done? How exactly do these tasks or activities improve your life? How much of it was recommended by someone who doesn't understand your life or your social circles?

Once those two are managed, then space opens up for the "want to" category.

Or maybe not? Maybe you're just at a place in life where maintaining a healthy life, healthy relationships, and paying the bills is all you have time for.

I see you found the dangerous Christmas present challenge from the weekly contests

Well done!

Yeah, this line survived a lot longer than it should have.

Fixing safety issues would have to include that sharp front end. Maybe just ditch the entire "stainless" exterior and restyling the whole thing would help with that.

Pretty much start with the battery pack and drivetrain, start over after that.

The fumes and noise of those little engines makes me excited that the battery versions are taking over.

One solution might be to have gaming systems at your house that your nephew is allowed to play when he's there. Not the nephew's system at your place, your system that you and him and your brother all play together whenever they visit.

Bonus points if it's a system you and your brother used to play back in the day.

From a Sunday lunch through dinner Wednesday evening.

Not a purposeful fast, I just had a huge hours-long meal of endless samples of steak, lamb, and chicken at a Brazilian Steakhouse. Also several large salads, and a small dessert.

So anyway, I just wasn't hungry for days after that. I didn't have any constipation, no drop in energy, so I went about my business as usual, but without eating for a few days.

It's definitely a mistake, but I think it has slipped by because spell check wouldn't have a reason to mark it, and not everyone uses grammar check, so they think it's correct to spell it out by the sound of the contraction.

I'm dealing with dry air, and the humidifiers I had bought before got the tiniest grits of dust or something in them and leaked their whole tank of water. Turns out they needed purified water or distilled water to function long term.

I just want to put tap water into a thing and get humidity into the air. Any suggestions?

Edit, they were indeed ultrasonic humidifiers.

My idea is that Frosty has taken my Christmas tree off my hands to carry it to the North Pole for safekeeping. This way, I don't have to redecorate next year.

In Copilot Designer, DAL-E 3 Prompt: a muscular snowman running through a snowy meadow. he is carrying a large, lit Christmas tree

Inspired by MommaCusses discovering a toy DJ machine that actually works, she found it so much fun she said she'd keep it for her own. What if Santa found this toy?

I just wanted to say, in case you didn't know, that E-6000 can glue a patch of denim to a pair of jeans well enough to survive the washing machine and heavy use.

I cut up one old pair of jeans to patch several other old pairs of jeans. One bead of glue around the edge of the patch, one bead around the edge of the hole I'm patching. Some wax paper made sure I only glued what I wanted to glue, and a stack of books on top of the patch for a few days let it cure in place.

They've survived several months of regular washing, as well as working outside with no issues.

I like the idea of eating a gingerbread house, so I thought of a large bell jar to cover a cake topped with a gingerbread house as a way to display it and also eat it later.

What do you want to see in your gingerbread house?

He says he can't. I'm so bummed.

I just thought it would be great to hear a metal band screaming a repetitive song about how much they like French toast.

I put in a few lines into the Suno lyrics generator and hit generate. I deleted about half of what it spit out for me, (like the ever present lyrics that include "night and day" and "feels so right")

Then ran through some changes to the prompt as well as fine tuning the lyrics to get this short little ditty.

Another result from the same prompt: https://suno.com/song/13b61691-2d30-4332-81a1-c04a7986fa75

After a lot of lyrics edits and rerunning the prompts to get a beat, melody, and voice I liked, I finally got a fast song about being slow.

In Copilot Designer, DAL-E 3 Prompt: lavender garnish cocktail themed show car with a large speaker system

Rolling through the "surprise me" generated prompts, landed on the lavender garnish cocktail. Added the rest and hit generate.
