With how popular trucking sims are... I don't think you're entirely off the mark

Finally if you want to make yogurt or cream cheese, you want to work of raw milk because it contains the fermenting bacteria, but that is more of a niche application.

If you're going to make anything from milk that requires bacterial cultures and the conditions under which they will grow, you absolutely do not want whatever random cultures that are in a raw product. You start clean and add the cultures you want to propagate. Source: ferments things at home

I could get both for just over £200 right now

£200

Gonna go out on a limb and say no, they do not live close to a Microcenter

I feel like there might be a minimum age before being able to do this... I'm in my 40s and I don't think I could stretch out my 'bird bath' enough to pour a drink in it yet, except maybe on a particularly warm day...

Homebrewer here, they generally don't die, they just go dormant. It's quite normal to harvest yeast at the end of fermentation, to the point where many breweries do so to save money. You can even use the harvested yeast to make bread with (which is how bread used to be made)

yeah, depends on the architecture. If it's a microcontroller, which I think is highly likely, then probably C or maybe assembly. I don't see anything more powerful being economical in a microwave TBH.

Tank style printers would probably be the way to go for ink, since the print head is not a 'consumable' part. For laser, maybe pick a popular proprietary toner cart and design around that?

One might consider a blouse and kilt at least somewhat manly

That can be controlled by group policy for corporate installations

it still does if you have hard enough water

The one thing I absolutely hate as someone who has been faking the whole adult thing for decades now, is having to figure out what’s for supper every damn day…

Something that seems to work for us is to always have 2-3 oven-ready frozen meals (i.e. lasagna, shepherd's pie, pizza) in the freezer for the days when we just can't come up with something, 3-4 semi-planned meals (pick a protein, pick a veg, pick a starch and go), and maybe 1 or 2 specifically planned meals that require us to buy specific ingredients we wouldn't normally have on hand, and usually those would be made either on the shopping day or the day after.

But the oven-ready meals are really the key part, it's the emergency meal for when we just don't have the mental energy to figure something out.
