It's a good thing those ropes were coated in cheese!

He was my best friend. Then he moved to Idaho with his family and I only ever saw him once after that. I wonder what he's up to.

Every 6 months. But I slacked this year and didn't change them out before summer. So I'm going to start fresh now, and then change at the beginning of summer, and then again next year around Thanksgiving.

$100/year is still pretty steep for me.

It makes a lot of sense, seeing as how Luc Besson probably grew up on that french aesthetic and those visual themes etc.

Any advice?

I took my NES down from the attic. It was in a box for probably a good 20 years. Easy. Plugged it in and it lit up, but games wouldn't play - gray screen.

Anyway, I took it apart, cleaned everything I could (according to youtube guides), cleaned my TMNT 2 cartridge and popped it in... after a few in/outs... it worked!!

So I played some of my old cartridges. Had to clean them all up and insert/take out/insert/take out etc. quite a few times with most of them. But they all worked! Game Genie even worked!

Anyway, I decided to get an EverDrive because ROMs are a thing now, and you can just pop in a card into the cartridge and have all the games ever created for NES playing on your original hardware.

I also got some wireless controllers. So I'm all set. This is such a fun world we live in.

I'm old, what can I say? I used to love dropping quarters into Metal Slug 2 or whatever and playing that thing in the arcades when I was growing up. Do arcade machines with Metal Slug still exist?

My kids LOVE Buster Keaton (self.iwatchedanoldmovie)

I have an 8 year old and a 6 year old. I made the choice to show them "Sherlock Jr." and they laughed their asses off. Then I showed them "The General" and they laughed their asses off again. It was amazing. Show your kids some silent movies, folks!
