Being involved in healthcare in any way is still a conflict of interest.

I don't really have raccoons around here but if something else calls the shelter home, so be it I guess.

Fill the bowl with cereal nearly to the brim, then add milk until the cereal is at risk of spilling out.

Thank you, I have a soft spot for animals, 5 of my cats, my dog, 2 lizards, a goose and 6 of my chickens were all given to me by people who could no longer care for them. It costs a mint to keep everyone healthy but I don't mind.

I switched from Linux Mint back to Windows a few months ago due to software requirements for a class I was taking but Windows 10 has slowed to a slog so I'll be going back sometime in the next weeks.

I saw this lot on marketplace yesterday with only 1 photo but I could see 2 of the chassis so I jumped on it. All told there are 6 chassis in various states of dress 40ish motors, 3 pistol transmitters, 8 or more twin stick transmitters, receivers, servos, only 1 or 2 speed controllers, 1 body, and a bunch of other stuff. Tomorrow if I have time I will start to organize, catalog and test everything.

They are going out to the run in the next week or two, I am building a new run for our older chickens this week so we can keep them separated for now.

Long story short, I'm a security guard and after a couple of months decided that with a history of suicidal ideation I probably shouldn't carry a pistol, I told the doctor at my work, they said I could no longer carry a pistol and I figured they were going to bring me in today (yesterday now), fire me and that's that. Well, somehow I was not fired, I got in at 1:30, sat for 2.5 hours waiting for something to happen and the people who should have done the firing just went the fuck home... So, I continued to sit. I sat until 9:00 when I was told to go collect trash from the various guard posts. Ok. Then they told me to report in tomorrow at 7:30am (I don't work at 7:30) and they would have me working days until "my issue is resolved". So tomorrow I'll just let them know that it's not going to be resolved, hopefully they can me then, if I quit I cannot claim un-employment. This is weird as hell because I may end up in a stalemate as a glorified janitor until I can find another job and resign.

We would have had 24 with these guys but we lost a hen last week to a predator so 23 it is (for now). The plan is basically to add 6 (NY minimum for buying chicks) every year and expand the coop as needed.

Hello, I am looking at a CED player and 50 ish discs for $50 on Marketplace, I an interested in the format and have a small laserdisc collection, I know CEDs are lower resolution and most discs only have mono audio but I like oddball stuff like that. The seller did not mention if anything works but replacement belts seem fairly inexpensive though a replacement sytlus is pretty spendy if needed. Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am adopting 2 more dragons tomorrow and with our current dragon, a leopard gecko and a tree frog the cricket cost is going to get pretty high. I am thinking of starting a cricket colony and a dubia roach colony, I want to do both because it seems like I can get a cricket colony going in around a month if I do it right but the video I saw on dubia roaches stated it could take 7 months to start harvesting from that colony. I like the idea of dubia roaches as they are supposedly more nutritious and don't smell vs crickets but the long start up time has me concerned. Has anyone here set up one of these colonies? Are there any tips/tricks you have that you haven't seen in various YouTube videos? Do you recommend a particular video series over another? Thanks in advance.

How fucking dare they. Talk about a movie that doesn't need a sequel. Bill Paxton's ghost does not deserve to be taunted like this.

We picked up Momo last night and currently have them in a 55 gallon tank, when they get larger we'll get them a bigger enclosure. They were being pretty spicy at the pet store yesterday but today when I picked them up they were fine and dozed on my shirt for a bit. Right now we just have a heat lamp for warmth but I ordered a heated rock which should arrive Friday.

I know it's pretty basic but doing the laminated top has really been kicking my butt. I chose to make it from pine as she repairs rugs and sometimes needs to nail them to her bench and this should be easy to nail into and pull the nails back out of. I'm going to apply some poly to the top and hopefully I can finally sign off on this project.
