Had to use my front facing camera with a timer and then had to crop it.

Ya gotta do, what ya gotta do :( there's better pics of me in garb on my profile. This was a test fitting to see how it all worked and how my mobility was. Hence the jammies under the armor lol.

Oh damn. Sounds stressful.

Lol. More to come as well. Still gotta modify the surcoat to go better with my inspiration for this kit. Carian Knight from Elden Ring. I have a black surcoat I am going to modify to look like the blue surcoat on this guy.

Oh, also what I am wearing under the breastplate is a padded textile armor called a gambeson. Adds more protection and padding. Good stuff!

So I know it's on the site that should not be named, but there's some good info on it here

Just fashion I am guessing. Knights still occaisionally had their armor painted from time to time as people still like color, but bare armor was just more in style.

Is that new? I've posted here so many times without the OC tag and never git removed before.

Basically a surcoat and my hood that I'd normally pair with the armor.

It wasn't until the late 14th-15th century and beyond that bare armor was the fashion.

Here's my kit before I bought the breastplate and leg harness, and also the helmet I intend to wear with this kit.

I am getting a plume holder installed and then I will paint it to match!

I don't believe I am a Dwarf, cousin of Gimli, and companion of Thorin OakenShield, who later perished in an attempt to reclaim Khazad Dum.

Jk. Thanks!

I do not LARP or fight lol. I wear it to the renfest and use it for costuming for videos.

Also, even though I already weathered the skull, I need to darken it some more, so that's on the to do list now.

I have some additional pieces not on the mannekin at the moment such as spaulders, bracers and some leg armor. I also swap the helmet and tabard sometimes. For now though, I'm digging this look.

I hand made the chainmaille coif, and I also have a maille hauberk, but I don't display that as it's too heavy.

SOLVED

So the mini HDMI cable was very loose. I used some jewelry pliers to crimp the male connector and made a tighter connection, now It works!

A friend gave me this GH4 a while ago. I got it working using the mini HDMI out on the camera and this capture cardand through a powered USB hub (also tested through direct to PC). Now after refiguring my setup, I had to disconnect my camera from my setup for a few minutes to move things around. However everything was turned off before disconnecting. I plugged everything back in, and now my source on streamlabs displays my capture card as just a black screen. It registers that it is connected, but there is nothing going through. could it be a setting in the GH4 that got reset, the HDMI port on my GH4 is faulty, could it be the capture card? I'm at a loss and I am very distressed over this. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

Pre-solve Update:

So it seems that the problem is jnfact the mini HDMI port on the camera itsself. If I hold it in VERY firm ajd at a specific angle, I can get it to send signal for 2 seconds before it disconnects again.

This is very sad, as a fix doesn't seem to exist, and I can't afford to send it out for repairs. Belgium bummer.

She loves the tiny rubber ducks, and accidentally batted it towards Momo (one of our other cats) and they had a battle of will over it. Pippy lost. They were playing for a while, and I only got the last few seconds of it. She's healthy and doing great! Thanks everyone for all of the support!

If you want to know the story: it's here in the gofundme!

Any additional support is welcome as her bills exceeded what we expected. But she is doing great now! Happy and healthy!

This went on for a very long time, but only captured the last few seconss.

Some people were interested in the process, so I figured I'd post the VOD here so people can check it out. Here is a before and after!

The mask is going to be part of an undead king costume I am putting together! Can't wait until it's all done!

This is a 14th century Wenzel styled bascinet that I bough a while ago. It's pretty unwearable, so I have been working on it yo make it wearable. I'm working on installing a liner, but I need to drill out a ton of little holes all around it so the liner can be sewn in. Wooo
