People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years, they've been wrong every time. This causes me to take further predictions with a pinch of salt.

It equates to about one in five hundred and fifty people, which is less than 0.5% of the population, so I can understand why the government feels content to overlook it.

Unfortunately, protests are largely inneffective until wide spread disruption is caused. If you want the government to take notice people need to feel strongly enough to the point that they're willing to risk prison sentences and most people are far too comfortable to risk that.

I'm not arguing whether cars are good or bad for society as a whole.

I'm just saying that if the choice is between internal combustion engines and electric motors, it's a no brainer.

It's a joke. The implication is that the repeated playing of Baby Shark could be considered torture, other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment and punishment.
