So around 2pm european the servers arr gonna shit themselves again?
That is when you visit communities on other instances from other instances! Lemmy.world and Lemmy.ml have taken the brunt of the migration so they're working hard on upscaling and upgrading.

If only there were other servers one could use to browse the fediverse!
How is lemmy.world hosted? In a basement? AWS?
The admin is hosting it on his mom's work laptop, psssht she hasnt noticed yet
Iโm convinced half the internet runs as background malware on old peoples computers.
It's the perfect place to do it though, they don't know how to turn it back on so they just never turn it off, you end up with a fantastic uptime
Its actually running on AMD Epyc server hardware with dozens of cores and it's still dying under the weight.

Im getting more and more frustrated i have to f5 so much because it just wont load
i made an account on a smaller instance to browse trough lemmy while .world is so overloaded, really helps. Try it out too! other servers are currently running like butter
