I loved him early on, his character is starting to get on my nerves.

You wouldn't get it. Only people with a really high IQ truly understand the genious of Rick & Morty. /s

This is basically my overall opinion of Rick and Morty at this point.

[–] Xanthrax 7 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I agree. I actually like the new season a little more. Reminds me of the early seasons.

I only watched the first episode and really didn't like it. I strongly hate celebrity cameos. It felt like a Family Guy "holy crap, you're Hugh Jackman!"

The first episode was by far the worst episode of the season. Honestly the first 3 are all kinda meh but it picks up after that. The most recent episodes all feel very similar to s1. It feels like that are making a concerted effort to return to their roots, but still had some episode in the pipeline they couldn't change which is what we see at the start of the season. Its only a few episodes tho so who knows if it will stick.

Good to know. I'll give the others a watch. Thanks for the info :)

I really like it and really don't notice that they fired this asshole.

[–] Xanthrax 2 points 10 months ago

I was surprised by that. It's better without him.

i thought this might fit but the first episode was 1969 so it doesn't really

[–] No_Ones_Slick_Like_Gaston 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

OK, then we can use this one

[–] samus12345 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Only from one year earlier, in 1968. 1966 if you want to count the song, which is a bit better.

[–] TheRedSpade 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Didn't the Simpsons first air in '89?

[–] samus12345 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Yes, but Bart's first appearance was on the Tracy Ullman show in 1987, Woodstock first appeared in 1967, and Spongebob did in 1999. Just splitting hairs at that point.

You thought it would be a new yellow guy, but it was I! DIO!!

[–] cosmicrookie 20 points 10 months ago

The problem is he turned more orangey than yellow and more people started voting for him instead of laughing at him

[–] hOrni 19 points 10 months ago

Let's just hope it won't be an orange guy.

[–] Im_old 19 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Well the previous ones were all great, so let's hope so!

[–] gibmiser 14 points 10 months ago (3 children)

I think Pac Man had the most compelling redemption arc of all fiction.

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot 4 points 10 months ago

Did he get himself off the pills?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

He’s come a long way since his Grand Wizard days, but the cannibalism is still concerning.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Especially impressive considering that fever everybody was breaking into at the time.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

i agree with almost all of these however i will fight you about the minions

[–] Im_old 2 points 10 months ago

That's fine, I am an evil genius with an army of minions, bring it on!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Not sure about the last one honestly, but otherwise yes!
