Yeah, incredibly harmful to his profits and chance of further peerages. Fuck off to Singapore and stay there ye blustery old cunt, no one wants your overpriced vacuum cleaners.

Henry Hoover for life

Who would win?

An expensive, cordless, slick modern vacuum cleaner with LED lights

Or

One smiling sucky sucky boi

Smiling sucky boi, everytime

I love my Henrys. Beautifully simple, made in Somerset, and if they do break, every part can be swapped in 30s without tools.

Didn't know they were made in Somerset, my love for them grows

There was an episode of “inside the factory“ about Henry. Worth a watch if you can find it

Hetty Hoover here, slightly smaller and pink - oo-er - but £40 cheaper. Just as good.

Just wish I'd bought one years ago and saved myself a small fortune in vacuum cleaners.

We've got a Hetty and a Henry, one for the house and one for the garage. I haven't managed to get them to breed successfully, although they will both probably outlive me anyway so I don't really need another.

If I knew you irl I would SO be making a baby hoover and hiding it next to your current hoovers

Lupe is really good. Created by ex Dyson engineers who fucked off start their own company. Bonus that one of them is an EU citizen as well.

Those who claim to "believe in Britain" are often falling over themselves trying to leave.

Sucks to be called out as a hypocrite.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 1 year ago

Hopefully this will Streisand Effect the issue that Dyson is, indeed a hypocritical arsehole.

See also how he milked UK taxpayer money to develop electric car batteries and then .... didn't.

Aww did the leopards eat your face?

To his profits, or what? He decided to march to the tune of the Leave lies. And then he again decided to basically flee the country for profits.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Yep. I hope he never sells a product in the UK again.

"Objection! This is devastating to my case!"

Those Dyson hand dryers are terrible. They're so noisy they really hurt my ears. I don't know why people buy his stuff.

[–] thehatfox 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Marketing. Expensive over-engineered solutions to non-existent problems promoted as luxury.

Some of those hand driers turned out to be a health hazard, and a Henry is far better hoover.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Perhaps we should suggest Henry hand driers?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

Worst. Urinals. Ever.

Dyson built their reputation with the bagless vacuum cleaners. Which were amazing back in the day (because they were the only bagless ones).

And that wave of success carries them to this day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I bought a bagless Dirt Devil a few weeks ago as a replacement and it works better than the Dyson we used to have.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Streisand Effect... I didn't even know about this at all lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

First thing I thought.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 months ago

If you act like a cunt, expect people to call you a.... altogether children

[–] Etterra 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Well I'm sure he'll be able to bandage his wounds with rolls of the cash he's exploited out of the people.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I don't think there are any cases of exploitation from Dyson. As much as I think he is a shithouse for what he did over Brexit, this claim has nothing to back it up AFAIK.

[–] Chouxfleur 3 points 11 months ago

If you're a billionaire you're exploiting people - It's literally impossible to become a billionaire without exploiting others.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

In the wake of what he has done to his country, it can't be harmful enough to his "reputation".
