Always picked ankylosaurus. The idea of being heavily armored and bashing things with a club was appealing.
I knew there would be at least one right thinking person :)
Ok look it's kinda cliche but I'd want to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex because, well, look at it! It's a classic example of an apex predator especially one in prehistoric times.
Also I grew up watching MMPR and Walking with Dinosaurs.
Iโd be the dinosaur that chose on accident at age 8 and has been my favorite ever since: Parasaurolophus
What this question boils down to for true pedants like me: https://www.quora.com/If-you-were-a-bird-what-type-of-bird-would-you-want-to-be-Would-you-rather-be-a-pet-or-a-wild-bird
Indeed, I would also prefer to be one of the non-dead ones.
Bonus: you get to fly^1^.
^1^: Unless you pick an ostrich, penguin, or other flightless species.
Ankylosaurus

Unfathomably based.
Triceratops or Stegosaurus.
Triceratops because of the cool three horns.
Stegosaurus because of the mohawk.
