The new update runs super well on the Deck - I had a great time with it.
Anyone with a Steam Deck looking for a deckbuilder roguelike with a great story, look at Inscryption. The game is a roller coaster, and great on deck.

Just got my first win on easy. I had a few missteps with builds, but it’s remarkable how fun it is as it comes together.
Honestly, it easily has the most gripping gameplay of a traditional roguelike. It’s really amazing.
How is rail grade? It looks cool
I really like it. I was looking for a successor to Sid Meier’s Railroads and this may be as close as you’ll get.
The goal is to optimize a variety of resources to their various processing facilities and then delivered for shipment. There can be multiple stages to a process and multiple inputs to achieve the goal in a timely manner.
I’m not very good at it, but enjoy it as a meditative process. I can sort out bad routes and inefficient patterns and it feels great when it’s all resolved and working as it should.
65-ish of the Cyberpunk 2077 hours were mine, full disclosure. Edit: or at least on Steam as a whole, any amount of which could’ve been on Deck
Damn, I've played like half of these in the past month. Put over 200 hours into BG3 and now I'm playing Bayonetta. I gotta say, Starfield's performance on deck vs other games that are older and look way better is pretty embarrassing. RDR2 is the standout for me. The game is gorgeous even on steam deck and it came out half a decade before Starfield.
I'm pretty sure I am responsible for 50% of the playtime of binding of isaac.

Playing Starfield on my desktop vs Steam deck is like night and day.
And I couldn't even get Cyberpunk 2077 to play correctly on Steam Deck. It's not just a graphics downgrade, but they remove extra NPCs like crowds. So it's just a near empty world.
I’m guessing the Deck is a lot of people’s only gaming PC. Much easier entry than a full blown gaming desktop. It may run far worse than a desktop, but it may be the only way to play for them.
As a kid I played Minecraft at the lowest draw distance (around 6 blocks) at 14 FPS. When it rained, I had to dig and hide because it would drop to 3 FPS.
Ocarina of Time was a game running at 240p and 20 FPS.
God knows at what frame rate the first PC games I've played ran at - considering it was a non-gaming hand me down PC, and I didn't know what the hell a frame was.
The point being, while better technical specs do make for a better experience... This isn't tied to fun.
FSR for Cyberpunk
I use Xbox Game pass streaming to play it on deck but I don’t think that would show in one of these surveys. Tried it locally installed and yeah it runs like shit on a stick
Yeah I would guess they just don't care. I have a nice PC but still found myself playing baldur's gate on it for a while due to it being in my hands and my ass being on the couch.
The staying power of Stardoot is amazing.

I've been playing a lot of Cult Of The Lamb. It gets a bit grindy, but otherwise I love it. Alternating between crusading and base-building is a satisfying gameplay loop.
Makes me sad to see no puzzle games on the list. Hopefully the Talos Principle 2 picks up some steam.

Omg! It's everything I didn't know I wanted from a sequel! I only just activated the first beam but I ADORE the meta commentary from the npcs and the new puzzle elements are superb. But it is the philosophy that puts Talos above all other puzzle games for me, glad to see this one is no exception. I'm giddy like a kid on Christmas.
The witness has a different feel for me, it's a great puzzle game for sure but I got frustrated with it too many times where the frustration with Talos was muted by my thinking about the last thing Milton said to me.
I'm surprised to see monster hunter world up there over rise. Also D4 over Grim Dawn.
Sad to see Diablo IV on the list...
