This is my fourth semester teaching at a university and about every other lesson turns into me soapboxing about context.

Context and nuance, arguably the most important constructs of knowledge building and nobody seems to have a solid grasp on either. I hesitate to say "any more" because it's entirely possible they never did.

I get that this could be making fun of the idea that a hypothesis is different to a theory, but there are epistemic stances that don't distinguish between either. From that perspective, both a hypothesis and a theory answer the question of "What do you think is happening here?"

I thought the meme was parodying the people who dwell on the difference. I wonder what it's really making fun of.
