Who's not listening to scientists again? Is it me, or some ultra greedy motherfuckers who collectively have more money than the rest of the planet, and deliberately ruin it just to make more of it?
The problem ain't the scientists being ignored, the problem is capitalism.
Have we, as a species, ever listened to scientists? We used to burn them for heresy.
We do listen to science. It's just that capital has become so fucking concentrated that its meaningless for any investment to go towards real discovery or innovation or infrastructure. Capitalists have economies of scale beyond our imagination.
Sure we have, earlier innovations in science were more directly observable to be beneficial
