Stow-ic (Stoic): To be emotionally disconnected, stable, without reaction.

Sto-ike (Stoich): Slang, of an engine to be running at it's optimal stoichiometric ratio for combustion

I spend too much time in car groups.

Stoich is also a general term for stoichiometry, in chemistry. Same idea as with engines, but more general.

One is pronounced "stow-ic" and one is pronounced "stoike".

silly, You assume I know how stow-ic and stoike are pronounced, those symbols are pronounced differently in other languages.
