Other grand juries, such as for the documents at Bedminster, have not been announced.

The E. Jean Carroll trial for sexual assault and defamation where Trump was found liable and ordered to pay $5 million before immediately defaming her again resulting in a demand for $10 million is not listed as it's a civil case and not a crimimal one. That trial date is currently set for January 15th, the same day as the Iowa caucus.

His defense team just played themselves, "demanding" a speedy trial, with a requested date in December, adding that defense "will be prepared to move forward with trial for whatever date the Court ultimately sets." DA's office comes back and says "October 23rd, motherfucker." Georgia judge: "October 23rd it is then."

And because one of the charges is RICO, the prosecution gets to go through the whole thing, even before the other defendants go to trial. In order to try a RICO case, the Government must demonstrate that there was a criminal conspiracy. Double edged sword, in that the other defendants will get to see the prosecution's case before they go to trial - but we the people get to see the RICO case tried before winter even gets here.

Incredibly dumb to demand a speedy trial while you're out on bail. Particularly for criminal conspiracy charges with this many people that need to be deposed.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

A Georgia judge on Thursday signed off on a quick turnaround to the start of the trial for Kenneth Chesebro, one of 18 defendants charged alongside former President Donald Trump in connection with alleged efforts to overturn the state's 2020 election results.

Earlier Thursday, Fani Willis, the district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, asked Judge Scott McAfee to set Oct. 23 as the start of the trial for all defendants.

The Oct. 23 date was sure to elicit pushback from more defendants given the complexity of the case and the mountains of evidence that defense teams are entitled to review before any trial begins.

"Without waiving any objection as to the sufficiency of defendant Kenneth John Chesebro's filing, the state requests that this court specifically set the trial in this case to commence on October 23, 2023," Willis wrote in response.

Scott Grubman, an attorney for Chesebro, said in a statement that his client "will be prepared to move forward with trial for whatever date the Court ultimately sets."

The new proposed trial date comes as defendants in the case, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, continue to turn themselves in ahead of a noon Friday deadline to surrender.

The original article contains 434 words, the summary contains 200 words. Saved 54%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

Right now they're trying to bluff with no cards. As in they literally have no cards in their hand.

Everyone else can see that they don't have any cards, and is wondering what they're doing.
