Using Sync for years. Bought Pro, subscribed to Ultra. I'll gladly pay for whatever you create!

I didn't even realize there was an ultra. Would sign up with ultra here. I used sync pro for years and although I haven't Uninstalled it yet, I've removed it from my home screen, effectively removing it from my daily usage. Jerboa for now, but there are a number of issues. Can't wait for this...

Count me in ... I already bought lifetime sync before leaving reddit a few weeks ago ... after years of using the app and not paying for it until the end ... I'm more than willing now to pay for the app from the start
Just keep in mind that MVP in software means minimum viable product. Ie, it might not be initially as feature rich as sync for reddit is on it's last version.
Edit. Yes, of course I'll buy it too, but I think a little expectations management could be needed here.
I'd probably pay on faith regardless, but really it just needs to be better than Jerboa in order to get traction.
I'd expect it to be just the bare minimum at first. But that's fine.
Decided to try Sync on Reddit today after I saw that the dev wants to add support for Lemmy. I used RIF before and I must say... Sync looks and feels really good! I would definitely pay for it if we get something similar for Lemmy.
I used Sync for 10 years, would gladly support LJ again :)
I haven't been to reddit since the strike, but just went to view the r/syncforlemmy post: Looks like reddit is trying to suppress this announcement on mobile (of course) with a massive popup that won't let you view it. You can get around it by viewing as desktop though.
My wallet is ready to buy whatever the highest tier is. Based on my Sync for Reddit experience it will be well worth it!
I'd even do a $50 founders pledge/edition or some junk like that. Let's get this rolling LJ!

sync pro user here... would gladly pay again for lemmy sync... I still find myself inadvertently hitting the sync app almost as a reflex when I unlock my phone, lol
It has always been the most useful Redit app for me. I'm looking forward to it.
Man, I bought sync waaaaay back when it first came out. It's such a good app and the dev is really forward thinking. I eventually moved to iOS but when I heard that sync had a beta app on iOS I grabbed that as well! Now I'm back on Android and reddit decided to kill itself... Needless to say, I'm really happy to hear that sync is coming to Lemmy!
Sync was easily the best experience for me when using Reddit and I'll put some money down again for that level of polish but for Lemmy.
I bought sync for reddit, i will buy it for Lemmy.

How does Sync compare to something like RedditIsFun?
The aesthetic is fantastic. LJ knows how to make a beautiful app.
I tried all of the apps out there including Sync and continued using RIF because, for me, it was simply a superior user experience to anything else in the market.
Aesthetics-wise, though, Sync and many others are much better. Sync is one of my favorites for sure. It's very pretty. I used it for a long while trying to make it my new alternative cuz the looks were so much better. It was very good. I can't remember why I went back to RIF. Must have been a trifling detail.
Overall I'm extremely happy to see Sync here. It's a high class app in what is a primitive environment I thought was not gonna be amazing due to the lack of apps and stuff. I'm 100% sure if Sync is finished here, there's no stopping Lemmy's growth.
In all honestly, I thought RiF was kinda meh compared to the other major 3rd party reddit apps. Still orders of magnitude better than the official app, but the general readability, UI, and smoothness of apps like Sync, Relay, Boost, and Infinite, were better than RiF. I personally used Relay because of the absurd amount of customization.

Nothing wrong with being happy with the default app. The only shitty one is reddit, not the users for using what they like.
You and me both, I've used the reddit one for about a decade and it effectively was reddit as far as I'm concerned. Lemmy's PWA is nice enough but I'll be giddy to get back into the familiar flow.

Sync is great, and if you give me a reason to keep using it, I will. Will the new Sync have compatibility with Kbin, or is it strictly a Lemmy thing?
It seems to all be in flux right now, I'm sure the dev is figuring it all out, but I know they already are sorta interoperable to an extent, so presumably you should be able to access some kbin stuff at least, like magazine subs, I believe.

Sync was/is so good I had to uninstall it from my phone to stay away from Reddit. Extremely excited for the Lemmy version and would definitely pay for another lifetime pro version ๐๐
