Oiligarchy is a strategy game where you explore and drill around the world, corrupt politicians, stop alternative energies, and increase oil addiction. It's all about the profits and not about the people and animals you may hurt along the way. Start drilling resources now!

I play games to escape reality, so no thanks.

Its kinda crazy this game is almost 20 years old already, and also how its still exactly as relevant as before.

I played this game in 2008 and even used it in an AP English class as examples of rhetoric. I tried looking for it not 3 months ago and I swear the Internet had never heard of it before. I'd love to own it on steam instead of playing it in a website

It's a flash game. Your browser downloaded it from here and played it in ruffle.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems like the dev only has 2 games available on Steam currently. Democratic Socialism Simulator which is 2.39€ and Green New Deal Simulator, which is free. That last one looks like the other side of Oligarchy!

Good.

People cannot believe something is real if they don't understand it. Helping more people understand it will help them see reality.

(The rebuttals about imaginary creatures mostly prove the point. All are simple caricatures.)

I guess it's doing it's job, just reading the description makes me mad as hell.

Also available from the official site here: https://www.molleindustria.org/flash/index.html?file=/swf/oiligarchy.swf

And now I'm off to look at all the other games available there!

In case it's not obvious, this is an educational game to teach how the oil industry is able to control our governments and destroy the planet.

I rescind my statement. Thank you.

It's a flash game from 2008 and satirical.
