I think you'll find that it's much easier to fight the system when you aren't on its lists.
To those saying petitions are useless, you are wrong. They are an organizing tool to get a list of people who share a common goal. This list can then be used by organizers to mobilize people for different actions.
I signed because I'm stupid and angry, but I'm not a fan of this at the very bottom...
