Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yes, because we need to be within range for the piss to hit him.

Sadly, he's probably right. Going by what I've seen from Canada and Mexico, there'll be outrage, beating of chests and elaborate plans to counter the tariffs, followed by a headline less than 24 hours later saying that the countries in question have folded and agreed to Trump's demands.

Everybody knows how to play Trump. He's about as subtle as a child.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Cool, if so. Then how do we play/pull him back from the economic and environmental cliff? Asking for a whole bunch of friends.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He's a simple man. The problem is, apart from having his ego stroked, he like money.
Do you have money?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

Not in the amounts that donvict cares about.

It’s so touching. They can finally be true to themselves and profess their love for one another without fear of repercussion.

[–] P00ptart 25 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The love only goes one way. If trump even remotely crosses Putin, the pee pee vid comes out.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Even as a joke, this has no teeth. Trump is immune to any kind of scandal or shame. Quite literally, in some cases.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I dont know about that, its likely pedo shit. I dont think for a second that the P tape is about piss or Obama.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 6 days ago

Do you have nay idea how many "protecting children" types are pedophiles? Trump could mandate 13 year old sex slaves and the Pizzagate crowd would cheer.

[–] Pilferjinx 7 points 6 days ago

Conservatives have a habit of supporting their pedophile leaders.

I don't know. Clearly his ego is fragile AF. It may not matter to his fan club, but being disrespected by daddy Putin on a planetary scale might be enough to trigger an aneurysm.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 1 week ago

Boy, Putin really knows how to play Trump. It's kinda gross.

It’s all going to Putin’s plan.

[–] CharlesDarwin 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, but, don't talk about it, because there are so many people that tell me this is a "red scare".

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)
[–] CharlesDarwin 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

They don't? Huh, just about any where and any time that the Putin-donvict relationship comes up, invariably someone pops up to hold forth on how this is just red scare "hoax" type of stuff...
