This article is based on speculation by two NOA former employees. While they do have context and knowledge (and I personally listen to the podcast), they left the company 2 years ago. Their videos have click-baity titles since that's the YouTube game, but the article title is even worse. We can assume they're mad. But there's still a chance the successor to the Switch is nothing like what's been "leaked" and they're laughing their asses off behind the scenes.

Upvote for going beyond the headline and for TLDRing for the lazies.

Gotta say, if someone is gonna suffer for this is whoever has to do stuff pre-release next time. Nintendo didn't use to be the most rabid pre-release security guys (Microsoft got pretty absurd there for a while), but I guarantee the New Nintendo Switch 2 U or whatever is going to be shown to third party engineers by kidnapping them in the middle of the night and flying them to an undisclosed black site.

Ah, Kit and Krysta, used to listen to them regularly (when I used to listen to podcasts).

Well, the video name is " The Reactions Inside Nintendo As Switch 2 Leaked " and the article mentions that they "speculate", and they are "100% sure", both of which means no actual insider knowledge.

That being said, which company won't be "really mad" to "the most severe level" for leak of their most anticipated product?

Because absolutely no one was expecting the same layout with a bigger screen and more streamlined hardware that literally looks like the phrase “Switch 2”? They think the whole world was suppose to be shook.

Unless the actual device is different, it'll just be wiiU agian.

Metroid Prime will move units, but im patient gameing this one and plan on emulation down the road. Based on the Switch emulators there's no reason to think this one won't be any different.

Given how hard they’ve been pursuing anything related to Switch emulation, you’d have to be nuts to think they won’t try a lot harder to make it more difficult this time round.

Every Nintendo system is hacked immediately. The switch had emulation before it even came out. All Nintendo has done is release system patches that don't do anything. They did the same thing with the wii, and the wiiU.

You can still easily emulate Switch games right now.

Edit. You can downvote all you'd like. It doesn't change history or facts.

Big company is not happy

I don't think anyone is giving even the tiniest fuck about this.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Seriously. Oh no one of the absolute largest filthy rich companies is upset... where'd I put that bottle of tears

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

The Nintendo warlords have spoken.

They've already sent out their army of lawyers to silently dispose of leakers.

Well, they can go eat their feelings like the rest us. They’re rich assholes and I honestly wish they’d go away.
