Accusations against slain CEO Brian Thompson are part of the story. Media should cover it.

Resentment for Thompson was widespread at the company, the employee said, citing an internal company announcement about his death that only garnered 28 comments despite being seen by 16,000 employees.

I believe is a non-standard but appropriate example of a post getting "ratio'd" as the kids say these day.

you mean "as the old people think the kids say these days"

You're not wrong, but why you gotta do me like that?

I believe the kids spell it dawg, and it's frequently preceded by words like aiiight or yo to underscore the coolness behind the statement.

I consider myself a bit of an expert in these matters. /s

Reading that shit about AI being used in health insurance makes me so fucking glad I don't live in a thirdworld shithole with private healthcare.

In an internal video statement sent to employees, CEO of UnitedHealth Group (UnitedHealthcare’s parent company) Andrew Witty said, “Brian was a truly extraordinary person who touched the lives of countless people throughout our organization and beyond.”

Absolutely, undeniably so.

Extraordinarily selfish, being investigated for insider trading and taking massive bonuses as the people under him are overworked.

And touching the lives of countless people by cutting them short in the name of profits.

Remember, the 'employee assistance program' is the companies way of finding bad apples and they will fire you for anything they want. Dont talk to them as they don't work for you, but against you.

Remember the one Saw movie that's just.. all about the US Healthcare System? Very based movie.

Imagining an HR executive tasked with writing the usual "Brian will be sorely missed email" for distribution to all employees and punting the task to ChatGPT because they couldn't do it with a straight face. Probably had to add a statement to the AI's work like "Do not speak to media outlets about Mr. Thompson's career, policies, or life."

“…we ask that you adhere to our corporate communication policy regarding interactions with the news media. All media inquiries should be directed to our Communications Department. United’s communications department did not respond to a request for comment.
