Fuck blizzard. They can't even respect their own legacy.

Honestly, Blizzard died off a long time ago. That's not even a joke. Activision Blizzard is shown as being founded in 2008. The company name and its IP is basically just got sold off in used.

Just call them Microsoft

Legacy is for individuals. When a company changes ownership and staff so many times, its basically a ship of Theseus. The only priority is whether this product is generating income.

This is why it is so laughable for customers to be loyal to a company.

Blizzard wants to hide the fact that Warcraft and Warcraft II were fun, and in a completely different genre than WoW....

...and they weren't subscription model games. I liked those games. Good Solo games, very replayable with various AI skirmish modes, and you could even get a map editor.

It's much more likely they want to boost the sales of their recently launched Remaster.

Still shitty, of course.

This is such a weird take

This version of Warcraft II has the map editor, right? I really enjoyed building my own tower defense scenarios.
I'll pass otherwise.

The original did. I assume this would as well.

It does. It launches into either an enhanced remaster with LAN-only support or the original Battle.Net enabled version, although I wonder if that one will survive the delisting, even with GOG support.

This thread suggests you guys haven't bought them, which you may want to correct. They're good versions and GOG is one bad Witcher sequel from not being viable, so it needs as much support as it can get for these situations.

Well I just grabbed em, just like when sega was delisting their Dreamcast lineup, figure it’s a better time than never

Why is Warcraft specifically Blizzard's fucking kryptonite? Starcraft Remastered is great and has the super cute Carbot reskin. D2 Resurrected is an awesome recreation of Diablo 2. Warcraft 3 Resurrected is still a shitshow even after the 2.0 patch, and 1+2 have the quality of an old mobile game.
