Israel doesn't care about the hostages, all they care about is further genocide of Palestinians to create a lebensraum for "chosen race".

If someone doesn't care to kill children and women of any race, there is no reason for them to care for someone of their own.

The reality is the hostages are peoywho lived across from Gaza walls, they are most likely regarded as sub class working families and the war machine does not care about them.

It's almost like the only way to get the hostages out alive is through a cease fire and deal.

There are still Israeli hostages? I genuinely was not aware of that.

Netanyahu truly doesn’t care about them, which is why he’s refusing deals that return all the hostages in exchange for a few weeks of ceasefire then permission to resume bombing.

Of that I am sure.

Yeah they're not really pulling their weight though tbh. What good's a hostage if your opponent doesn't care about their well-being?

Exactly the type of humans you need to rebuild a population.

And also generally not combatants. Or to use the crass parlance "not having military value."

Yeah there are 50 something presumed alive.

That many? I really have not kept up with that side of this story. I don't think it's all that relevant to the overall picture at this point, which is why, but I still feel silly not even knowing that.

It's the official reason the US vetoed the UN ceasefire proposal. I say officially because they would do so regardless but still.

Oh absolutely. They would use literally any excuse, including something entirely fabricated if necessary.
