Looks like golden poodle, but feels like too large to be…

It's called an Apricot Poodle, once in a great while I hear them called butterscotch poodles too.

Also, that's a standard normal size poodle. They were water hunting dogs. It's the little ones that are bred to be tiny that are weird.

Poodles come in lots of colors. Just looks a standard poodle, possibly apricot or cream colored.

Could be a golden doodle cross between a standard poodle and a golden retriever.

Or a Labrodoodle. Those are becoming more common.

Every time I see one of these poodle mixes, I get excited and think I'm seeing a soft-coated Wheaton terrier. But the owners invariably tell me it's some kind of poodle mix.

They're all gorgeous, of course, but the maintenance always prevents me from considering an adoption.

Below is a show-condition SCWT, and it's clearly a terrier breed, but the domestic (non-professional) ones I've seen, where the owners haven't bothered with the terrier styling, look a lot like a poodle mix. Or, maybe it's just hope. I've only ever encountered a SCWT in Europe.
