Even as Trump tries to disavow the rightwing blueprint, both have similar plans to replace many federal employees

Even as Donald Trump seeks to disavow Project 2025, he and the rightwing effort’s authors have voiced similar hostile plans for the US’s 2 million-plus federal employees – to replace many of them with political appointees.

These plans are stirring alarm among federal employees, with many warning that “politicizing” the civil service will hurt not just them, but also millions of Americans across the US by undermining how well the US government provides services and enforces regulations that protect the public.

I would love to know how many civil servants plan on voting for MAGA. I would like to think it's a teeny tiny percentage...but I'd probably be disappointed to learn that it's not.

People often forget that a huge amount of civil servants are DoD/military. Both pure civil servants and national guard and reservists doubling up federal service.

There's an alarming number of MAGAts in that field.

Still confusing that anybody in the military still supports him after the awful shit he's said about them.

Many believe that they are "essential" and that no private company could do their work.

I've met some MAGoo Civil Servants.

It's exactly that reasoning that Republicans want to get rid of them.

"If a company thought the job was important, they would be doing it!"

not just them, but military also. you think they won't make current and future soldiers sign a "i will die for trump" pledge or get discharged/rejected?

This has been around for ages (in Internet time). And the connection to Vance is one step.
