Isn’t it weird how obsessed they are with children?
Not weird. Criminal. The word you're looking for is criminal.
Gaetz wouldn't want kids learning about how consent works.
Republicans hate sex and consent education for young children. It makes it harder to get away with sexually abusing them.
Florida what the heck is wrong with you. You have lost your mind. Sex ed is vital.
Right-wing politics tends to prefer the acceptability of action to be based on social status rather than power. After all, rich men need slaves to do things for them, because these men have got important things to focus on, like making the world worse.
Sex Ed is uncomfortable. It involves having frank and honest discussions with teenagers about taboo topics and acknowledging that they won’t just do what you tell them, and so you need to meet them where they’re at.
Conservatives don’t want that. They want something quick and easy regardless of if it’s correct or functional. They’d rather a higher risk their kid becomes a teenage parent than accept that this uncomfortable process that involves accepting that they don’t get the final say in what their kid does is the best way to prevent it.
Next step: legalize rape as long as contraception isn't used.
Can't teach sex ed?
Teach biology instead. (?)
