Tell us where you are going so I can live vicariously through you while I stare at the snow.

Friends are getting a southern California beach house for a week in October and invited us. Looking forward to a few days of fun, laughter, and not thinking about work.

Haven't decided on the holiday plans yet, but my husband and I always go for a weekend getaway in the mountain town of Estes Park in Colorado, USA in early January.

We rent a cabin with a hot tub, eat at nice restaurants, and get couples massages. The town is quiet and sleepy after the holiday rush, but all the nice little shops are still open. It’s like our own Winter Wonderland.

And there is something magical about sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars while snow is all around you. We save up all year for this trip, and it’s totally worth it.

There are a ton of October holidays in India, including Diwali, the festival of lights, the biggest holiday in India, so I'm going to travel around the country in October and observe some celebrations!

and hopefully eat like the best fucking food everyday.

Michaelmas: Party/gathering as my house, complete with the full celebration. I invite everyone to these celebrations.

Halloween: I might cosplay but that's it. I don't really do the full celebration, I didn't truly grow up with it.

Thanksgiving: I'm not really "American" but have American friends and typically do something with them, this is their day.

Christmas: I might go to church and events but nothing major. I don't have the dynamics right now for anything spectacular.

Haunted houses every weekend until they close for the year. The past few years houses have been opening earlier and earlier. Some opened as early as Friday the 13th last weekend.

Haven't made my plans for which houses to go to this year but I'm looking forward to it!
