I often wonder if any of the people who find their lives completely destroyed regret their misplaced allegiance? Do they even consider it possible that they made a mistake or do they see themselves as martyrs?

[–] homesweethomeMrL 7 points 4 months ago

Depends if they have the capacity to be honest and admit mistakes.

So, no. Not so far as anyone has seen.

Life completely destroyed? A slap on the wrist and people all over the country giving her donations incoming

[–] EndOfLine 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

We will have to wait until October to see if she gets a slap on the wrist. Seeing how two others were given deals in exchange for testifying against her, I suspect that she will be serving some jail time, especially since she went online, immediately after her conviction, and posted her total lack of remorse for her actions.

As for the donations, she had a team of lawyers working on this for at least 2 years. Pretty sure they are the ones primarily benefiting from any donations. Mike Lindell commented, before he went broke, that he had donated upto $800,000 to her legal defense (though the entirety of that quote makes this claim a bit dubious). Plus a failed political campaign followed by funding a recount for her failed campaign. I get the impression that she has more debt than donations.

But maybe I am wrong. She might get away with probation and / or be rolling in donations and appearance fees. It would be very disappointing but it is a possibility.

Yet more evidence that all election Interference comes from republicans.

Former Colorado clerk Tina Peters, a hero to election deniers, has been found guilty in a breach of her county’s election computer system in a jury verdict returned Monday at trial.

Peters was accused of using someone else’s security badge to give an expert affiliated with My Pillow chief executive Mike Lindell access to the Mesa county election system. Prosecutors said she was seeking fame and became “fixated” on voting problems after becoming involved with those who had questioned the accuracy of the 2020 presidential election results.

The case marked the first prosecution of a local election official over a suspected security breach amid the conspiracy theories that swirled around the 2020 election. It heightened concerns over potential insider threats, in which rogue election workers sympathetic to partisan lies could use their access and knowledge to launch an attack from within.

Did I miss the part where the article mentioned what her punishment is? All it said was she was found guilty from my read.

[–] DasAlbatross 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Sentencing will happen next month.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Ahh okay. I did miss it. Thanks.

[–] DasAlbatross 1 points 4 months ago

I'm not sure it was in that article. I read it in a different one.
