It's still Inside Out 2. The title is referring to how long it took to gross $1 billion.
On June 30, 2024, the film crossed the $1 billion threshold worldwide, being the first Disney animated film to do so since Frozen II in 2019. It holds the record for being the fastest animated film to cross $1 billion, doing so in 19 days, beating out Frozen II (25 days).
Yeah but if $1 billion is worth half as much as it used to be, then it doesn't mean that it was more successful to reach that threshold in a shorter amount of time
Surprisingly good sequel for such a difficult concept. But somehow I wonder if kids may find it more boring than adults, because I would probably not get this movie as a kid.
My 6 year old likes the sequel more and says her favorite character is anxiety because of how it reminds her on when her emotions get too big for her. I think the second didn't capture the exact same fire as the first, but overall they're both good. It also teaches the kids about important concepts that imo everyone should've been taught from childhood. You'd be amazed at how much kids can understand.
You wouldn't get social pressures as a kid? It definitely speaks a lot to an adults sensibility of stress and anxiety, but it's not like kids never struggle to fit in. Especially when there are major changes in their lives.
Yeah... Now that you say so, my teen years didn't look like the movie, that might be why.
I just had weird nihilistic friends until I was adult enough to find happiness.

I think it was aimed more toward tween and teen on the young side, and the "kid in all of us" on the older side.
My niece (12) said she preferred it to the original…
That's what makes it so good: both kids and adults can get something out of it
Huh, didn't think people were that excited for this movie.
Might just not have any serious competition.
I don't know if Lemmy is the demographic for this movie. My pre/tween nieces and their friends were definitely excited for "the Inside Out" sequel, and the older one has already gone to see it twice.
