But like this is hush money trial right? The one for the events that happened entirely before he even was elected? WTF is this lawyer smoking?
No, the reimbursement of Michael Cohen and the cover-up of that reimbursement happened after Trump was elected.
He personally signed 9 of the 11 checks and directed his company to create false documents to cover their purpose. The purpose was to help him get elected, and that's why it's a felony (34 felonies).
