Everyone in the fandom is on the same ~~boat~~ ship.
That or hating the characters for the most mundane reasons. There's no in-between.

I remember looking something up about the Yellowstone show and discovered a whole subreddit of people who watch shows just because of a actress lol, and all this controversy about the actress and just gave up and forgot what even I was looking up in the first place

I always assume it is just a hired PR team. Like 90% PR 10% bored people
I definitely have picked up some shows once I found out who was in it. It's pretty rare though.
Oh I do it all the time but I have a bit of an obsessive personality. If I really like someone, I want to consume anything they got. And I don't mean in a creepy sexual way... Usually.
Well, that depends on what “normal” is.
“Supportive” could be an alternative word for the meme.
Me: Three Body Problem is sure a good show with interesting characters.
Some random post on lemmy: "Every character is emotionally immature, spiteful, and sassy. None of the ‘friends’ act like friends. None of the characters talk like real people. They’re constantly insulting or hitting each other. It’s just embarrassing. The actors have nothing to work with."

wandavision was pretty bad at this, there was a war between people who thought mephisto would show up and people who didnt think mephisto would show up. it was a chaotic toxic mess when mephisto didnt show up
I think the comic is more about all the fanfics about every character in a giant orgy. But your thing can apply too!
