Bank of America would have layoffs if they profited less than $6 billion IN A QUARTER.

And that's AFTER all the tax ~~evasion~~ avoidance bullshit. Who knows how many ill-gotten gains they're ACTUALLY raking in..

Have been trying to tell my coworkers this for two years now. We had a manager tell her whole department "I'll fire and black list whoever I want." The GM hates when you bring that up because it reminds him that people remember one of his managers did that. We've been told "that's not who she is and she's been coached to not say things like that".... well, which is it?

Unless the owners nephew who sucks ass at the job wants the promotion you want, then you won’t get rewarded.

Correct. That or any number of similar things is the subtext of the Charlie Brown football gag meme. Lucy always, always yanks it away.

Yeah. I’ve started my own business now so I don’t have to worry about that anymore, but I understand that it isn’t feasible for most people to even do.

The company is so generous they gave OP a free apostrophe to use somewhere.

[–] force 2 points 9 months ago

I can't blame them when you'd use the apostrophe if it were a personal name instead of a personal pronoun. "It's" used to be the standard form for the possessive neuter actually, now it's considered nonstandard but it's non "incorrect" by any means
