Made it so that a warning is not displayed when a Red Shell is targeting opponents.

Mmmh, I think it was an important information when you where just behind an opponent that seems to be targeted by a red shell.

It's not the most common situation, but now you could simply get a red shell from nowhere.

Lowered the appearance rate of Mirror and 200cc races in Worldwide and Regional settings.

It makes sense for 200cc because some tracks are very hard, but mirror actually adds some variety.

I'm not sure I follow. If you're behind someone and there's a red shell warning, don't you have to assume it's targeting you until you see otherwise?

(Note: I didn't try the last update yet, so maybe things are properly implemented)

In the action of the race, it's sometime not obvious if you are the targeted one or if it's the opponent that just overtake you.

In such situation, avoiding to be just behind the opponent when hearing the red shell warning (it's often around one second) can save your life.

Without the red shell warning, you have no opportunity to react and you will simply get red shell that where definitely not for you (because there are no sound anymore if you are not the target).

Said otherwise : Taking a red shell without a warning now means the red shell was not for you. TBH, if the red shell was not for me, I would have preferred to have an opportunity to react and maybe avoid it.

Once again, such situation are not that common (but yet, not that uncommon) and it can bring some unnecessary frustration.

Ah, got ya. I didn't clue in to the being passed part of the scenario.

Thanks!

Made it so that L/R button operation on the class selection screen and course selection screen in the Grand Prix can be conducted on touchscreen as well.

I had no idea this game had any touch screen support

The game started life as a WiiU title, and most of it's touch screen support stemmed from that. This new update simply adds consistency

After playing this game for close to seven years, just last night I discovered that touching the screen during a race pauses the game.

First I heard about that too

Coming from the wiiu I learned it quickly. It seems wii u ports kept touchscreen support for menus but new games didnt bother

Oh awesome, can't wait to try out those new tracks later! Edit: they're good - squeaky clean bathroom is definitely a highlight! The MK Tour levels are a bit generic but fun enough.

Squeaky Clean is probably my favorite out of the new dlc.

I had accepted the fact that we wouldn't see R.O.B. as a playable racer again, but seeing the recent character DLC has me holding out hope that he's included in Wave 6.
