Clearly, this guy was part of the 2010's beanbag-as-office-chair trend.

Or the gym ball a few years before

You know, I feel like heels would make this even more awkward than it already is. How do you get any leverage?

[–] flicker 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You have to do kind of a combination of pushing down with your butt to get upward momentum, then pulling up with your abs. Then you keep it going with the two.

It's hell. And to get up, you grab the edge of the desk and pull. 0/10 Do not recommend.

And then the desk collapses because it's not real wood

I had an abusive ex who had one of those. The times I tried to sit on it, lost my balance, and landed painfully on the floor were, in retrospect, a pretty accurate microcosm for the rest of the relationship.

What about the late 90's kneeling chair fad?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wow, first time I've seen that! I'm currently half-kneeling on my chair, so I'm kind of intrigued.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's shit for any prolonged sitting.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Yes, but they were excellent for kneeling on backwards, with your chest on the seat when you, uh, had need of that particular position for whatever reason.

Or so I've heard.

From a friend.

...this is the solution to a problem I've been looking for an answer for. Thanks!

It really does work well. Just make sure you're facing a wall or can grab onto the desk. Otherwise you squeaky scoot across the room a little bit with every thrust

With ass on the knee part or backwards bend over, shoulders on the knee part?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Knees on the knee part, chest/stomach on the ass part, palms flat on the wall, special friend behind you.

This is the answer to questions I didn’t know to ask

These things are great my coworker had one and it looked interesting so I got one for myself. It was great for gaming as it puts you into a more power pose like if you were riding an Enduro motorcycle and since you get tired sooner you are more inclined to get up and be productive maybe

The Lisa Simspon chair.

[–] damnthefilibuster 22 points 3 months ago (1 children)

My guy. That’s a standing desk he’s leaning against.

[–] NessD 23 points 3 months ago

It's just a long thin mustache and he's leaning with outstretched arms on the table.

[–] Decoy321 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You all know that stools exist, right?

[–] SgtAStrawberry 7 points 3 months ago

Maybe he is happy about finally having some back support.
