Unfortunately on fiscal policies both the Democrats and Republicans are pretty much identical. It's all pro market liberalism. That being said the Democrats are better just because of the social issues but the word liberal refers to market liberalism which both of them support.

If it helps, I voted for Biden in 2020 and will vote for him again. But as a Marxist, I recognize the contradictions in capitalism, and how Democrats and Republicans maintain it.

True. No one said that. I just used it as an example of what liberals think of anyone to the left of them. The Obama quote was to demonstrate that there are purity tests even within the Democratic Party.
