This can just as easily be flipped. I can drink multiple mugs of tea with nothing in it, but no matter the bean quality or the preparation methods I can't drink coffee black.

I drink both. I feel like i could rather easily give up coffee (though, I’d miss cold brew in the summer), don’t think i could give up tea.
Coffee for a nice rich, slightly sweet, slightly creamy treat to get you going. Tea for a clean, relaxing, slow-down-and-appreciare-life feeling.
I'll take a nice cup of hot bean water any day of the week.
