Uhm I'm not sure about this issue, but it made some progress and that's nice.

I found this issue that might help or not, with the apparent fix of switching to Default for the first time and then switching back to Pipewire

Hey Lynn!

I'm in a similar situation but I've been able to play VR games through ALVR and the Quest 2 without an issue.

For starters, your friend doesn't need a specific USB C cable, he could use a USB C connected to the Quest 3 and a USB A 3.0 connected to the PC.

I take it that he installed ALVR through the AUR, being Garuda an Arch-Linux (I use Arch BTW) distro. I had several issues with that version and I fixed every issue using the alvr_streamer_linux.tar.gz download in the release page, see here for instructions.

Things that should be taken in consideration:

  • both the ALVR client (installed on the Quest) and the ALVR server (running on the PC) should be the same version number
  • the latest SteamVR patch breaks ALVR, hence it's mandatory to select "previous_version" through the Beta configuration of SteamVR (see here

My usual fire team can confirm that 380 is one of my favorite stratagems and I have it on me 90% of the time. We didn't notice much of a difference.

Patrol? 380 MM barrage.

Light nest? 380 MM barrage.

Stalker's lair? 380 MM barrage.

Achieving minimum damage with maximum force is the freedom way.

Hey adventurers!! After much thought and a ludicrous amount of coffee/tea/hot beverages, we decided to allow more users on The Gamer's Tavern Peertube instance! It's cozier when more people can join and make part of this great community that YOU, and only YOU, make so great.

To do so, we had to revisit the current user quota. This is because space disk is limited (for now) and we're considering HOW and WHERE expand the server with an external storage, but this comes with an additional (and sometimes not trivial) cost.

As Phase 1 of the plan, after considering every user quota usage, we decided to lower the quota down to 30 GB/user to allow more users in. Should you need more space for your amazing contents, worry not, we have your back: since yesterday a new tier on Ko-Fi is available to double the available quota, starting from 2€/mo. Yes, it may feel like a subscription, but we believe it should be considered as a donation to allow the growth of the Fediverse.

We believe in a free internet, without ads and without the vicious data market. This hasn't and won't change. But we need help from users who can to shoulder whose who can't.

Please don't be shy to ask the moderators about every question you may have.

TGT's partnership with Boosteroid update (self.the_gamer_tavern)
 

Hey adventurers! Today's announcement regards The Gamer's Tavern's partnership with Boosteroid.

While Boosteroid is an amazing and upgrowing Cloud Gaming service, we didn't feel confident in pursuing the partnership anymore.

Since the last two years, The Gamer's Tavern has steered away from all the "usual" platforms of content creation when the companies behind those started aggressively adding more and more ads and giving a hard time to viewers. We took a stance as a brand, removing our content from those platforms and moving completely to the Fediverse, self hosting our own contents and promising we would never follow their path. It's a given that since we've taken that stance, we don't feel confident anymore in advertising any platform/service, even an amazing and uprising Cloud Gaming service as Boosteroid is.

We decided to remove our brand from the Boosteroid partnership program and the company understood our point of view.

Addendum: we would gladly like to see more companies joining the Fediverse, but not through us, so we suggested Boosteroid considering an outlet in one of the various decentralized and privacy-centered social networks.

Effective from now, every partnership link will be removed from our outlets.

Yours is one of the feedbacks I see the most regarding Biomutant. "Good idea, great potential, could have been better". I'm still not that deep into the game and I haven't seen this effect yet though, but I'll keep your comment in mind while playing :) Thank you for sharing

I'm afraid I haven't gotten yet to the point of the game being repetitive but I absolutely share the impression about this game being beautiful with a stunning graphic and an interesting concept.

I'm having a hard time adapting to the controls though, they are not intuitive, especially aiming.

I'll get through the game in the next episodes and I'll try to trace back to this comment to give you my opinion :) Thanks for sharing yours

Hey adventurers! I'm starting a brand new Let's Play series about another game that I've never played but I really have some good feeling about it: BIOMUTANT!

Steam's description says that "the game is an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG, with a unique martial arts styled combat system allowing you to mix melee, shooting and mutant ability action." and all of this mixed together seems amazing! The game is getting out on Nintendo Switch on May 24 and thus I decided to play it…for the first time, on my PC.

EDIT I'm currently aware of a microphone issue in this video that makes my voice a bit "metallic", I'm working on fixing it and I'll upload a new version in the next few days.

You're absolutely right, especially for the low level toxic community. My hope is that they'll move from the lithopage lore arc into something uhm, "newer" lore-wise.
