American Libertarianism is kind of cursed by the fact we’re in a two-party system. So it tends to attract the people who don’t actually support the ideology. (Mostly conservatives at the moment.)

Libertarianism is cursed by libertarians.

Everyone has a different idea of what perfect freedom looks like and those freedoms conflict with each other so libertarians do to.

American libertarianism is kind of cursed by being fascist-lite. Their freedoms (privileges) are the only one that matters. Guaranteeing the freedoms of society (others) isn't really their thing. It isn't the two party system. They're just not actually libertarians.
