It would be nice to have the option that clicking on a post opens the post in a new tab to keep my position in the feed.

Middle mouse button or control click the link

Laptops don't have middle mouse buttons (or at least, mine doesn't).

And you shouldn't need two hands (or two clicks).

Links are typically set to open in new windows/tabs because most websites don't want to send their traffic off-site. Catches me out every time here.
