The cost of living, compared to income, absolutely sucks in Canada. Include housing, and it’s several orders of magnitude worse than in America. Especially with all the corporate greed going on, raising prices while cramming down wages, all the while CEOs and other C-suite suits make more in the first week of 2024 than most of their employees make the entire year.

If only unionization wasn’t such a dirty 4-letter word, average working-class people could change things for the better. Because wealth only trickles down when the wealthy bleed. But we’ve had 75 years of “socialism = evil” brainwashing to overcome, and man, that lie is just entrenched.

Ive been applying to a remote first company I want to work for for about 3 weeks now and ive got 1 failed interview and about 30 reject letters. Can't complain, ive got a good job now, but I want to go back to remote work
