Trashy Zone

You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A terrifying journey into the depths of human depravity. Next stop, the Trashy Zone.

Following these rules will increase your odds of making it out of the trashy zone alive.

  1. Be nice. Rude, aggressive and antagonistic commentors will be made leave.

  2. I don't want a classist definition of trashy being this subs main interpretation of trashyness. Posts depicting decadent displays of wealth are encouraged

  3. The five patron saints of the trashy zone are Charlie, Mac, Dennis, Dee and Frank from IASIP. Please pay homage to them whenever possible.

  4. No overly dark topics like sa or child abuse. I want a light tone to this place. What consistutes too dark is currently up to moderator discretion.

  5. Once this server hits 5k subs a community discussion post will be created. Ideas to build this community will be shared and discussed.

I'm going to optimistically assume that he doesn't speak English, and that he just picked up the shirt because it was cheap.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

He also might have an intellectual disability and not be able to read.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Seriously. Nobody should ever walk around in public wearing a fanny pack outside of a theme park. Even then, it's questionable.

[–] frickineh 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Haters gonna hate, my fanny pack is cute and useful and it's the one 80s/90s trend I'm glad gen z brought back.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Next you're going to say you're wearing it over the shoulder or what the zoomie thing was

[–] frickineh 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I have, in fact, done that. With long tops, it's better than putting it around my waist and either having stupid bunching or my shirt covering my bag. These kids are pretty smart about some stuff.

Those are crossbody bags, not fanny packs. Kinda like way smaller sling bags

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Yes. That is how I do it because it doesn't draw attention to my gut.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they're making a comeback.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Gotta store the chloroform somewhere ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Woah, we've supposedly got a dude who possesses equally ugly appearance and personality 👍

[–] tpihkal 6 points 1 year ago

I'm glad he's wearing it; let's me know he's clearly unapproachable. It's kinda like requiring a sex offender to post a sign in their yard.

[–] dodeca 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Incredibly gross that someone would wear it.

It's a play on the song titled "Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat" is a song by Fatboy Slim, Riva Starr and Beardyman.

A quick internet search will find that it's an old shirt, which makes sense with the song, has had numerous articles written about asshole wearing it, and apparently you can buy it on Amazon, but I didn't click that link.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago

No, it's a play on an old-ass phrase "eat/sleep/blank/repeat".

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

You can buy pretty much any shirt on Amazon since they started doing on-demand printing.

[–] SidewaysHighways 13 points 1 year ago

How the fuck else would that goddamn abomination ever have intercourse with anything besides himself.

All jokes aside that guy probably doesn't deserve genitals

I'm pretty sure you can get this guy arrested. It's not free speech if it's threatening violence. I shouldn't be allowed to walk into the subway wearing a shirt that says "eat sleep bomb repeat" and neither should this guy be allowed to walk into an elevator with a woman. That shirt is a threat.

[–] Harpsist 2 points 1 year ago

An actual ad for McMaster university showed a woman in a head scarf holding with the words "I'm the BOMB!"

Somehow this ad got dreamed up and approved, given a budget, went to print, and hung without anyone going WTF?

[–] abbotsbury 2 points 1 year ago

It's a gross shirt but it's definitely not a threat

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

An arrest and thorough background check might be in order.

[–] [email protected] -4 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I'd punch him right in his face, and tell him the way he dressed had him asking for it

[–] Mojave 16 points 1 year ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (3 children)

You're a chronically online shit talker, you ain't punching anyone, I'd be impressed if you could even make small talk with a cashier

[–] systemglitch 2 points 1 year ago

Lol fucking gold

[–] Lennnny 1 points 1 year ago

This escalated quickly.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I have like 20 posts on here. Over the course of over 6 months.

Chronically online? Projecting, much?

How often you posting, little one?

[–] CaptPretentious 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I hate to be having to say this...

But that's

  1. Promoting violence as a solution for things you don't agree with and

  2. Blaming the victim

It's it trashy, yes. Reprehensible, deplorable... Yes. But if this is the answer you use, then it's the answer they will use.

Jokes should invoke laughter. If this is funny to you, that's concerning.

Again, if you use it, they will use it. Imagine a hate group threatening to attack/hurt a group and when confronted they respond "It's just a joke".

You're heart is in the right place.

I can't wait for school to get back in session so I don't have to be lectured by teenagers over a play on a classic, entitled rapist trope.

[–] CaptPretentious 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lol. Are you that bent out of shape that you thought calling me a teenager was going to insult me. Ok buddy. 😆

I'm sure that works in whatever circles you hang out in.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm an adult.

We don't have circles.

Kiddo.

[–] CaptPretentious 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not with an attitude like yours.

You think violence is the answer. When called out on it you try to pass it off as just a joke. You definitely taken a defensive posture. And now you're taking the posture of 'I'm a kid' and you're cdefinitely an adult' because for you somehow that means you're right, I guess. I can only assume that cuz me being a kid is somehow important to you.

You might physically be an adult, but you act like an attention starved teenager. Which makes sense because you said you don't have friends.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I said I don't have circles.

I also didn't need to write an essay to show how much I didn't care.

Yep. I made a joke. You got offended. Proceeded to write paragraphs I won't read 🤣

[–] CaptPretentious 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Wait... are you saying you don't have "circles" in retort to me saying you said you didn't have friends. Do you not know the definition of circles? https://www.oed.com/dictionary/circle_n?tab=meaning_and_use#9445256

A number of persons united by acquaintance, common sentiments, interests, etc.; a ‘set’ or coterie; a class or division of society, consisting of persons who associate together.

I know you read it. It's important for you to feel superior though. Hence claiming you didn't read it. Hence trying 'insult' me by calling me a kid (multiple times).

You didn't make a joke. You made a threat of violence. Maybe that shit is "funny" on 4Chan? I wasn't the offended party. It's obvious you got offended for being called out, but your trying to convince... yourself I guess, that you offended me... with your 'joke'. Because you literally still don't comprehend how making a threat of violence or actually following through with it, wouldn't stop anything. Going back to the original post, couldn't help but notice you see yourself as superior to others... you like pretending your the adult and everyone else is children. https://lemmy.world/comment/6392449 so I know you'll want to reply. Because you need to get the last word in. But I called you out on it... so it's a coin toss on just how fragile your ego truly is. Your a toxic person and I won't be wasting anymore time with a wannabe.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

Um... okay little buddy.

Someone out there is gonna read all that. Not me, though.

You definitely proved you "don't care".

[–] wildcardology 0 points 1 year ago

I'm just shit talking dude.
