The points matter to me dammit

Pls, have some points πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰

I gave up caring about the points when I made a second account on a different server just now. 3 weeks of posts gone.

Yeah, what about those beans for fucks sake?

[–] Schimski 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Awesome, first comment, double posted. That's a good start.

The best thing to do is sign up on a smaller Lemmy instance such as lemm.ee (that's where I'm posting from). lemmy.world is completely overrun by new users right now, and it's doing its best to keep up, but having a bad time with performance. This results in posts not loading, duplicate comments, and random errors. You'll have a better Lemmy experience heeding my advice, go beans!

Lemm.ee isn't great because it's a bit smaller (it's still pretty big), it's great because the admin/dev is top notch.

[–] Dark_Blade 4 points 1 year ago

I mean, the devs here aren’t bad either (or so I’d assume).

[–] Schimski 3 points 1 year ago

Thanks for the advice, will have a look.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

lemmy.world is being crushed by a metric fuckton of beans right now.

Last weekend some guy needed advice on how to not poop for 3 days. He said it was legit and that he didn't want to go into details.

It was speculated it was a religious pilgrimage. Apparently his God doesn't like poop. Or maybe the humans that designed the temple didn't know people poop?

Thus was born the no poop challenge!

I have no clue what's up with all the bean memes though.

You don’t have to join the most crowded instance to see the content. There’s no benefit in doing so. You can see and interact with all the content from other instances.

It’s like watching everyone waiting in line for the same bathroom stall, doing the I gotta pee dance, when there’s unlimited stalls.

I;m thinking about thos beans

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah, I knew about that poop post but wtf are all the beans about suddenly?? πŸ˜…

I wonder what's next... πŸ€”

[–] clutchmatic 3 points 1 year ago

Oh, I'm fine with it

[–] EpicBadass 3 points 1 year ago

In all fairness did the points ever REALLY matter? IDK maybe it's just me but karma was useless
