I lived on the Soylent bottles for quite a while, but one particularly busy active summer 2021 it landed me in the hospital because it turns out Soylent has no sodium, and if you have no sodium in your body then you end up in the hospital on a saline drip. Lesson learned and I share that lesson with everyone every time this topic comes up.
Important PSA, especially for tech bros like my literal brother. I'll remember that!
I did the Soylent thing for 6 months for breakfast and lunch and ate normal for dinner, but after a while I just started to loathe the taste and texture. Then they jacked up the prices so I stopped my subscription.
That's insane.
That it doesn't have salt, I mean. I remember when this stuff first came out and its creator was going around on talk shows and the like, talking about it and it was literally supposed to give you everything your body needed to survive. Which should include sodium.
