Is there a process for assuming control of defunct communities? (self.support)

I found one I'd like to use with no posts at all, and the one mod hasn't had any Lemmy activity in 7 months or so. I PM'd him, but I'd be surprised if that message reaches him.

There's a lemmy.world support community where they will be able to assign you as mod if you ask.

From what you've said there shouldn't be an issue with taking it over.
