As many people here right now I assume, I'm coming to Lemmy as a Reddit alternative. I've got my account created via lemmy.world and have a bunch of other communities that I was able to find just by browsing the Communities section found here. However, since there are potentially infinite instances and communities out there, how do you guys go about finding new ones that might be relevant to your interests? The list of communities only gets you so far, imo.

I used this as well.

Though content has really increased, I still find a great way to find new communities is to sort by all and new, then scanning the posts and looking to see if any are coming from communities I didn't know about. I guess you could do the same with hot or active.
